I was Brian Nielson's immediate supervisor for almost 5 years within the marketing / communications department at Julius Klein, one of the world's most important diamond manufacturers. Brian was responsible for the creation of all of our b2c and b2b advertising, including taking the photography of the product to be featured in those ads among many other things.

    As a result of Brian's high standards in art, he was able to make a huge impact on our company’s branding. He updated our company image (including designing a new logo, new stationery, etc.) and gave us a much more professional, more synergistic look internationally. Many of the projects we gave Brian were without much input, just a vague idea of what we desired. What he was able to come up with was beyond our expectations. We regularly hear compliments on our professional looking corporate image to this day.

    Brian's photography acumen is second to none. Some of the most challenging subjects to capture, Brian excelled in diamond and fine jewelry photography. Upon joining Julius Klein, Brian had no prior diamond experience, however, he was quick to learn and perfected a set up that optimized every single image. When it came to shooting models for some of our campaigns, Brian was almost immediately able to capture the model's trust - a critical element for a successful photo shoot. It was because of Brian's friendliness, consideration, professionalism and treatment of the models - the single most important elements of any shoot - that we were able to create the beautiful ad campaigns that we did.

    Brian is diligent, organized and productive. He is reliable and consistent in his work ethic and was a solid contributor to our company. He takes ownership of his projects, works well independently, and was really quite enjoyable to work with during his time here.

    Brian would surely be a high valued asset to any business or organization.
